Hard to believe but it is finally here, our 40th reunion, and we have a lot of catching up to do!  Our celebration is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, starting at 6:00 PM.

It will be relaxed and informal with lots of our 70's/80's era music, tasty food, great company, and if it's your desire, a cocktail or two. Vegetarian dinner options will be included.  There will be a no host, cash only bar. No outside beverages, beer, or spirits are allowed on the property.

A group of us have been hard at work planning the event and discussing what we feel would work best.  Our goal is to keep the cost reasonable, and be as inclusive as possible. We really want  to get as many Class of 79 members as possible to attend this once in a lifetime event. The reunion is for Class of 79 members and their guests only. You can bring your children, spouse, friend, partner, etc., but this is not an all hands Drake reunion, it is a Class of 79 reunion.

For those that have not been interested in, or available to, attend past reunions, we hope to coax you into attending our 40th. It's going to be a lot of fun to get reaquainted with one another, share a laugh, and reminisce about old times.

The Marin Rod and Gun Club in San Rafael will be our venue. It's easy to get to, has plenty of parking, is affordably priced, and has a few reasonably priced hotels nearby (click the "traveling" tab).

We are hoping for some great mid-October weather so we can really enjoy the outdoor ambience of the property, and/or can head inside for more socializing, partying, and eating.  If it is cold, we will rent some area heaters but our normal mid-October climate is calm and comfortable.

We are also working on an informal picnic for Sunday, October 13th. It will be likely be somewhere in San Anselmo or San Rafael. When we have more info, we will pass it on.

Your reunion committee; Dave Cronin, Denise Santa Cruz-Bohman, Virginia Hadley-Wathen, Sarah Glass, & Charlie Casalnuovo have setup a Facebook page (DrakeClassof79) and an email address, Drakepirates79@gmail.com  where details and contact information can be shared. (However, all ticket purchases and RSVPs must be done through the website that you are currently on.)We encourge everyone to upload pictures, thoughts and/or memories. The rules are simple: no drama, no politics, keep it clean, and have some fun.

The reunion requires advanced payment and an RSVP so use the link "Buy My Tickets" to make your payment and fill in as much or as little information about yourself as you are comfortable with. A few details are required but we will not sell or release your info to anyone, and will not publish it without your permission.  If you don't want your info included in our reunion book, leave that space blank. We do, however, need a working email. For example, Dave included the year of his birth but not the date. Some of the info is not necessary, just use your own best judgement.
Please make sure you read the refund policy, it is on the "Buy My Tickets" page.

Any extra money we collect from ticket sales will be donated. If you would like to make an additional donation, click on the "donation" tab and read the details about where that money will end up, they are good Drake student related causes. Keep in mind that we may have a few classmates that want to attend our reunion but right now just don't have the resources to pay to attend. Therefore, in some cases, and within reason, our plan is to try to CONFIDENTIALLY help them out. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, included, and comfortable.

Please keep in mind that this website is a bit of a work in progress, pictures will be added, updates made, and memorials included.  Check in every few weeks to see updates and add to it if you like. Menu details will be added as soon as we firm those details up.

We need your help in getting the word out! Reach out to old friends and encourage them to attend the party. Please purchase your ticket(s) early, plan early and keep checking the website and Facebook pages for updates, pictures, etc.

IMPORTANT:  If you show up in a Roman toga, remain in the toga for at least three hours, and dance to at least two songs while wearing the toga, Dave Cronin will donate $25.00 to the Drakefund and will pay for your first two drinks. "Toga, Toga, Toga"  (Dave is limiting this challenge to $1500.00 max.)
